Asus ROG TYTAN CG8580 gaming desktop launched in India


Asus recently introduced a new Republic Of Gamers TYTAN machine to its line-up – ROG CG8580, which is powered by an Intel Core i7-3770Kprocessor and features Windows 7 Home Premium operating software. It comes equipped with a quad-core CPU boosting and twin 128GB SATA3 SSD with RAID 0 for 4x faster data access speed. To assist gamers, it includes HD visuals and audio powered by a GTX 680 graphics card with 2GB GDDR5 and ASUS Xonar DX audio card.

Asus ROG CG8580 features Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 enabling processor cores to run faster than the base operating frequency. Asus claims that with Intel Quick Sync Video Technology, creating, editing, convering and uploading videos become easy and quick. In addition, LucidLogix Virtu MVP helps in accelerating graphics performance by up to 60 percent and triples video conversion speeds.

The ROG CG8580 features the 3rd Generation 22nm Intel Ivy-Bridge with Intel Core i7-3770K that enables the CPU to reach a maximum stable speed at 4.6GHz and also helps in providing high definition graphics with DirectX 11 and Intel Quick Sync Video Technology, making the CG8580 capable of doing things faster. Exclusive quad-core CPU boosting and the Turbo Gear instantly increase CPU speed at any time, without rebooting.

An NVIDIA GeForce GTX680 graphics card provides unprecedented 4-display capabilities with 3D Vision Surround plus one extra display. The CG8580 also features 2GB GDDR5 video memory, while GPU Boost helps in maximising clock speed and Adaptive Vertical Sync for optimised frame rates for true-to-life images at 2560 x 1600 resolutions. Asus claims that the Xonar DX audio card powered by Dolby Home Theater technologies helps in delivering up to 35 times cleaner audio quality (116dB SNR) than on board codec. It enables you to hear loud and clear and hear the enemy before one sees them.

Asus claims that the ROG TYTAN is inspired by ballistic missile submarines, crafted for inside-out gaming top gear. It is equipped with the DEFCON indicator that features with blue and red LED lights. Asus claims that the black switch on ROG keyboard is of the toughest quality, which provides faster registered key presses and helps increase users’ actions per minute. The ROG Keyboard offers a lifecycle of 50 million key presses per key. ROG gaming mouse features 4000 dpi laser sensor with high precision tracking speed. Custom-built gamer UI, customisable DPI and button functions and adjustable mouse weight optimises the gaming demand easily.

Sony launches Xperia Ion in India at Rs. 36,999

Sony has officially announced the launch of the Xperia Ion in India. Priced at Rs. 36,999, the Sony Xperia Ion runs on Andriod 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor, coupled with Adreno 220 GPU, on the MSM8260 Snapdragon chipset.
