Karbonn to launch Smart Tab 2 for Rs. 6,990

Karbonn is gearing up to launch a brand new tablet in the Indian market - Karbonn Smart Tab 2. This tablet has already been listed on the deal site - Snapdeal.com for Rs. 6,990 while the MRP is mentioned as Rs. 7,990.
Karbonn had made a big splash earlier in the month, when it announced that it will be offering a Jelly Bean update for this Karbonn Smart Tab, thus becoming the first budget tablet to offer the latest version of Android. The company had launched its Smart Tablet in July 2012 with a price tag of Rs. 6,999.
Karbonn's brand new offering Karbonn Smart Tab 2 is loaded with the Android v4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and can be upgraded to 4.1 Jelly Bean. The other key features of the Karbonn Smart Tab are 7-inch Capacitive 5 Point Multi touchscreen and a 3D G-Sensor for gaming experience. It comes loaded with 1.2 GHz Xburst processor, 3700 mAh battery, which claims to give 25 Hours of Music Playback Time with a Wi-Fi and HDMI support.
Karbonn Smart Tab 2 has a 2 megapixel front camera and pre-embedded applications such as Karbonn Smart Browser and Karbonn Smart games. It comes with a 4GB of internal memory and can be expanded through an SD card to up to 32 GB.
Karbonn Mobiles also has plans to launch 9.7-inch tablet in September, which too is expected to come with Android Jelly Bean operating system on board.

Sony launches Xperia Ion in India at Rs. 36,999

Sony has officially announced the launch of the Xperia Ion in India. Priced at Rs. 36,999, the Sony Xperia Ion runs on Andriod 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor, coupled with Adreno 220 GPU, on the MSM8260 Snapdragon chipset.
