Micromax to launch 5-inch A100 for Rs. 9,999



Following the Samsung way of flooding the market with devices in every possible segment, Micromax has been churning out smartphones like anything these days. Just last week we saw theA84, a Gingerbread smartphone and now the A100 has been spotted on HomeShop18.
Featuring a 5-inch display with 854x480p resolution, the smartphone will come with Android 4.0, a 2000 mAh battery, a 5MP camera, dual-SIM connectivity and 4GB of internal storage.
According to the listing on HomeShop18, the smartphone will be priced at Rs. 9,999. There is no word on the release date right now.
With this smartphone Micromax will compete with Spice Steller Horizon, which was recently announced for a price-tag of Rs. 11,999. The specifications of both the smartphones are pretty similar; however there is no word on the processor or RAM of the Micromax A100, which are a major deciding factor for a smartphone purchase.
The company is planning to officially launch the A84 soon in the country and it is likely that the A100 will debut alongside.

HTC launches Desire VC dual-SIM Android phone in India, at Rs. 21,999

HTC has launched yet another dual-SIM phone in the Indian market, the HTC Desire VC for Rs21,999. This is HTC’s second foray in the dual-SIM smartphone segment. Recently, HTC launched the HTC Desire V , which was its first   dual-SIM  smartphone. On paper, the specifications of the HTC Desire VC are the same as the HTC Desire V – except that it supports CDMA-GSM, instead of GSM-GSM.
